7th-12th Open Mosque Day at Midtown Mosque (1288 Jackson Ave., 38107)
Memphis area mosques are opening their doors Saturday, March 4th, as part of the 15th annual Muslims in Memphis event, in an effort to increase mutual understanding. Guests will have an opportunity to attend short presentations on Islam and get answers to any questions they might have about the religion, Muslims, and mosques. 25 spots available.

Memphis area mosques are opening their doors Saturday, March 4th, as part of the 15th annual Muslims in Memphis event, in an effort to increase mutual understanding. Guests will have an opportunity to attend short presentations on Islam and get answers to any questions they might have about the religion, Muslims, and mosques. 25 spots available.

7th-12th Team Building a la “Card” at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)
Pick a card…any card.  Come play some non-traditional card games that will help you get to know some fellow Bridge Builders in a fun and unique way.  Be prepared to move and collaborate with 19 other people in order to succeed in as many of these games as you can! 20 spots available.

7th-12th History of Islam Speaker at Rhodes College Buckman Hall (2000 North Parkway, 38112)
Nabil Bayakly will speak at Rhodes College on the topic of “The History of Islam in the New World” He will touch on Islam before Columbus, Muslim mores, Melungeons, Islam through slavery, Islam in recent history and present day Islam. 25 spots available.

7th-12th Rappelling with Team BRIDGES at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)
The Rappelling workshop will include supervision and instruction by professional staff on the BRIDGES outdoor High Ropes Course. Participants will have an opportunity to rappel, using ropes and harnesses, off the side of BRIDGES using techniques taught by the staff. Participants will also have an opportunity to climb the rock wall throughout the workshop. We require participants to wear closed toed shoes and clothing that allows you to move around freely. 20 spots available.

The Memphis Youth Union works to increase youth voice and participation in community decision-making processes that affect youth.  Their March 25th open mic forum is designed to give young people a platform to express the issues and concerns they are about most.  100 spots available.

Bridge Builders event in partnership with Teach for America.  Bridge Builders learn how to tap into your leadership potential and impact your community with student leaders from across the city. 7th-12th Memphis Against Sexual Harassment and Assault (MASHA) Focus Group at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)

Youth organizers with Bridge Builders CHANGE are excited to work with Bridge Builders who are passionate about addressing sexual harassment and assault of youth within Memphis. This task force will learn about current efforts, gather their collective knowledge on this problem and develop solutions to addressing this issue. The ideas created during this task force meeting will continue to be worked on for the rest of the year by youth organizers at Bridge Builders CHANGE and YOU if you choose to stay involved! 30 spots available.

Working with Neighborhood Preservation Inc and Art Memphis, you will help beautify abandoned lots in the Medical districts with butterfly sculptures. These butterfly sculptures will become a home for the endangered monarch butterflies and simultaneously help raise property values and revitalize the community. Wear closed-toe shoes. 50 spots available.

7th-12th Know Your Rights: Sexual Harassment and Assault Workshop at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)

The MASHA Know Your Rights Workshop is an interactive workshop designed to inform the community of their rights regarding sexual violence and crime. In this workshop, participants will learn how to combat rape culture and the stigma of sexual assault while engaging in positive advocacy for survivors. 25 spots available.

Green Leaf Learning Farm is excited for Bridge Builders help increasing access to healthy food in South Memphis. During this community action, we will provide much needed maintenance support for the Green Leaf’s urban farm which provide health food to a food desert or an area without access to healthy food options. 30 spots available.

9th-12th LITE Memphis at Crews Center for Entrepreneurship (3618 Walker Ave., 38111)

Want to change the world? Want to start a business or launch a campaign? Participate in this workshop by LITE Memphis where you will learn what it takes to launch your own idea. Lunch will be provided. The students who come up with the best ideas will be chosen to be LITE Finalists and receive $750 in support, 1 on 1 coaching, and access to internships. 25 spots available.

7th-12th Memphis River Warriors Clean UP at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)

The Memphis River Warriors from the University of Memphis are excited for Bridge Builders to help address pollution inequalities in our city! During this community action, you will learn about environmental justice in Memphis and go to and participate in a trash-petition to help clean up an area that is burdened by many of our cities environmental burdens. Wear tennis shoes and clothes you can get dirty. 120 spots available.
