BRIDGES is proud and honored to have been selected as Jim Keras Subaru’s local charity partner for the 2018 Subaru of America, Inc. Share the Love event.

From November 15, 2018 to January 2, 2019, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at more than 628 participating Subaru retailers nationwide to the customer’s choice of either a designated hometown organization (BRIDGES) or one the following national charities: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, or the National Park Foundation.

Eleven years running, the 2018 Share the Love event marks the third consecutive year there will be no cap placed on the total donation from Subaru of America to its Share the Love charitable partners. At the culmination of this year, Subaru hopes to exceed a grand total of $140 million donated since Share the Love event started in 2007.

“At Subaru, we and our retailers are passionate about using this platform to positively impact our local communities and the causes our owners care most about, simply because it is the right thing to do,” said Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing, Subaru of America Inc.

“When we look at Subaru, we see such a clear reflection of our own core values at BRIDGES,” said Vice President of Development Melissa Whitby. “In today’s world, a brand identity built on love seems almost radical, but it shouldn’t be. Subaru’s dedication to being a positive force in its local communities—not just with financial support, but with actions that illustrate its vision and show love and respect to all people with every interaction—is incredibly inspiring. It’s also exactly what Bridge Builders youth are learning, living out, and spreading through our communities every day. BRIDGES is working every day to ‘share the love’ by unifying Memphis, starting with youth, and we’re so excited and proud to partner with Jim Keras Subaru on their 2018 Share The Love event.”

Subaru of America, Inc. is guided by the Subaru Love Promise, which is the company’s vision to show love and respect to everyone, and to support its communities and customers nationwide. Over the past 20 years, SOA has donated more than $120 million to causes the Subaru family cares about, and its employees have logged more than 40,000 volunteer hours. As a company, Subaru believes it is important to do its part in making a positive impact in the world because it is the right thing to do.
