7th-12th Making Mini Movies Cloud901 Elective at Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave., 38111)
Sessions will consist of teens completing an entire video project within an hour, from writing to final cut. 15 spots available.

7th-12th On My Own Elective at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105) CANCELLED
Partnering with UT Extension, you will experience a real world situation and then apply this experience to your own lives. 100 spots available.

7th-12th Intergenerational Ropes Course Elective at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)
This intergenerational elective provides a time for Bridge Builders and parents/guardians to support each other on new heights. We will use the BRIDGES indoor high ropes course to participate in activities about 40 feet off the ground together. If attending Bridge Builders and parents/guardians are REQUIRED to come together and actively participate on the ropes course. Wear loose clothing and closed-toe shoes. 25 student spots with their parent/guardian spots available.

Team BRIDGES wants YOU…to help test out some new activities. No deep discussions; just 2 hours of collaboration and fun using some familiar props in unfamiliar ways. 30 spots available.

Our partners at the National Civil Rights Museum are hosting this elective around the theme “Where Do We Go From Here?” 30 spots available.

7th-12th Positive Self-Imaging Dance Elective at BRIDGES (477 N. 5th St., 38105)
This interactive workshop aims to help students improve their self-image through the creative construction of dance. In addition to having conversations about self-image and body image, students will learn basic movements in the style of Turkish Middle Eastern dance as a way of reclaiming their bodies. Students will work as a team to create one large group piece that will be showcased at the end of the workshop. Students must come dressed in loose or comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and a scarf of some type for their hips. Parents and guardians are welcome to view the final performance around 4:40pm. 20 spots available.

7th-12th MLK Day Community Action at Carnes Elementary (413 Decatur St., 38105)
Join the effort to Re-Canopy Memphis. We’ll plant 130 trees in the Memphis Medical District, helping the community by reducing heat, raising property values, and improving air quality in the community. Wear loose clothing that can get dirty and bring gloves and a water bottle. Lunch will be provided at 1pm for those who want to stay and eat. 75 spots available.

7th-12th Blight to Bright: Beautifying the Medical District Community Action at Carnes Elementary (916 JW Williams, 38105)
Working with Neighborhood Preservation Inc and neighbors in the medical district, Bridge Builders will work to transform abandoned lots into positive spaces for the community by creating community gardens, planting flowers, picking up trash, and painting and creating kid friendly spaces. 50 spots available.
