Art & Relaxation allows teens of all skill levels to explore their artsy side while finding ways to relax and cope with stress. Teens will discover their own artistic style through mixed media. This is all about trying new art forms and spreading good vibes. 35 spots available.

7th-12th Yoga With Stephanie Elective on Zoom

Join us in a mindful based yoga class! In this class we will improve our balance, strength and flexibility in body, mind and breath. We will start and end with a breathing meditation, practice yoga postures and hold Chinese medicine points to help us relax. 50 spots available.

Learn about and practice mindfulness through art making, yoga, meditation, and journaling to help relieve stress and anxiety. This workshop wil help you explore different exercises to turn to when feeling stressed and overwhelmed and ultimately find a practice that works well for you. 20 spots available.

9th-12th Think Like an Entrepreneur Community Action & Elective on Zoom

Join LITE Memphis for a Think Like an Entrepreneur workshop. Students will create and pitch a business based on provided word pairs. This workshop is an interactive, entertaining way to get you into the entrepreneurial mindset! 15 spots available.

7th-12th SCYC Youth Voice Report Community Action on Zoom

Join the SCYC to hear their findings on how best to ensure elected officials listen to the voices of the youth they represent. 35 spots available.

8th-11th Recycling Community Action on Zoom

Students will learn about the difference between plastics, the effect of waste on the environment, and how to recycle from home. This youth-led event, mixed with interactive activities, is the perfect workshop to learn how to make Memphis greener. 40 spots available.

7th-12th Good Trouble Voting Rights Community Action on Zoom

Students will gain important knowledge about voting access and election integrity. This interactive workshop is sure to be engaging for all students! 25 spots available.

8th-12th Street Law Community Action on Zoom

Street Law is a global program of legal education that uses interactive teaching methods to teach youth relevant law that affects their everyday lives. Some of the elements of practical law taught include awareness of human rights/civil rights, conflict resolution, the advocacy process, police and youth interactions, criminal and civil law, family law, and consumer rights. 35 spots available.

8th-10th Girl Talk: Self-Esteem + Peer Pressure Community Action – FOR FEMALE STUDENTS on Zoom

Participants will discuss self-esteem, peer pressure, and consent, and will engage in role-play activities around all 3 topics. 25 spots available.

7th-12th Choose Your Own Community Action at various locations

An opportunity for students to receive credit for service they complete independently of Bridge Builders. Students will be emailed a form on the 14th to complete and submit to the BBCLC for approval. 100 spots available.

11th-12th Healthy Relationships Community Action on Zoom

This session covers various forms of dating violence and helps youth recognize early signs. Youth also discuss consent, boundaries, and healthy communication. 30 spots available.

7th-12th Juvenile Justice Community Action on Zoom

Join this conversation with advocates and leaders around Juvenile Justice here in Memphis. During this interactive zoom call, you will have a chance to hear from Justice Impacted youth about their experience and recommendations for our Juvenile Justice System, find out about the research that the Countywide Juvenile Justice Consortium has gathered about who is being taken into and held in your Juvenile Justice system and how they are being treated. And finally you will have a chance to find out about how you can get involved in future work to make the Shelby County Juvenile Justice System more fair, equitable and restorative. 50 spots available.
