We know you’re actively involved in giving back to your community, and we want to honor that involvement. Please fill out the form below to receive your Community Action or Elective credit.
Criteria to keep in mind:
- Service should be for a minimum of 1.5 hours, either all at once or through demonstrated regular intervals
- Service should be interactive in some way
- Service can include something you are doing through an honor society, youth group, or other civic organization
- It does not include something you are being forced to do as part of a punishment
- It does not include any household chores that you are completing
Past examples that students have received credit for:
- Cooking / serving at a soup kitchen
- Organizing a food pantry
- Making holiday cards with nursing home residents
- Volunteering at a food bank
- Working in a community garden
- Helping in a school clean up
Past examples that students have NOT received credit for:
- Dropping off donations at Goodwill / Salvation Army / food banks
- Serving food at a church event
- Babysitting
- Household chores
IMPORTANT NOTE: Completing this form does not guarantee you will receive credit. All forms will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Bridge Builders COLLABORATE Leadership Council. You may be asked for additional information regarding your form. All students will be notified within 2 weeks of submitting forms about their credit.
