InterCORE (Intergenerational Collaborative Organizing for Radical Equity) is the intergenerational facilitation team of the BRIDGES Youth Action Center. It embodies the YAC’s vision by creating intentional spaces where youth are included in decisions that affect them throughout the planning, implementation, and evaluation phases.

Youth Justice Social Change Fellowship funded by Memphis Alternatives to Violence Project (Memphis AVP) aims to strengthen high school–age justice impacted youth organizing and connect young people directly impacted by our justice system to advocacy and community organizing work through their own powerful stories, non-violence principles, and strategic organizing. This partnership between BRIDGES YAC and Memphis AVP is grounded in a shared commitment to equity, nonviolence, intergenerational collaboration, and the development of youth as present-day leaders — not leaders in waiting. The funding is meant to support the development of an ongoing justice-impacted youth leadership group that would be part of the BRIDGES Youth Action Center. The fellowship will culminate in a pitch to funders to support the implementation phase of the youth justice work.

Youth in Shelby County deserve a voice in government, but without the right to vote, they are often excluded from decisions that affect their lives. The SCYC (Shelby County Youth Council) was established in 2019 to address this gap by giving high school students a platform to influence local government and advocate for policies that directly impact youth.
